Amspec’s Commitment to a Sustainable Future

At Amspec, sustainability is a responsibility that we take seriously. As a company dedicated to innovation and quality in construction, fit-outs and refurbishment projects, we recognise the importance of reducing our carbon footprint and making environmentally conscious choices.We are constantly looking for ways to implement greener solutions across our operations as part of our journey to a more sustainable way of existing.

Towards the end of last year, we took a significant step in our sustainability journey by partnering with B-eng to install solar panels at our Amspec HQ in Wigan. These solar panels are now helping to power our joinery workshop, allowing us to reduce our reliance on traditional energy sources and embrace cleaner, renewable energy.

The Impact of Our Solar Panels

Since installing the solar panels, we’ve already seen incredible benefits—not just for our business but for the environment. One of the standout features of our system is the app that allows us to monitor our energy savings in real time. The data speaks for itself:

✅ Carbon savings equivalent to planting 400 trees
✅ 24.22 tonnes of CO₂ saved
✅ 12.15 tonnes of standard coal offset

These figures demonstrate just how much of a positive impact solar energy can have, cutting down emissions and taking steps to a greener future. 

Investing in a Greener Fleet

Sustainability doesn’t stop with renewable energy. As part of our commitment to reducing our environmental impact, we have also taken the exciting step of purchasing our first fully electric company van. This marks the beginning of our transition towards an entirely electric fleet, a change we hope to fully implement in the near future. By making this shift, we aim to reduce fuel consumption, lower emissions and contribute to cleaner air in the areas we operate.
