Amspec's interior designer wins Media CityUK's competition to design one of the 'box on the docks'

Media CityUK have teamed up with award-winning agency HemingwayDesign to bring a unique dining and arts experience to the heart of Media City. 'Box on the Docks' will consist of 30 'boxes' including deluxe sheds and greenhouses to be placed outside restaurants and cafes in the centre of the digital and creative hub. 

The aim is to create a unique, socially distanced dining experience to support local hospitality businesses and self-employed creatives. The initiative will allow local residents and workers to return to their favourite restaurants and bars whilst feeling safe, secure and ensuring they are able to follow social distancing guidelines.

'Box on the Docks' have sent out 15 artist commissions to design the 'boxes' to a number of different organisations including Amspecs' very own interior designer, Kirsty Taylor. Kirsty and fellow student Imogen Taylor-Tate submitted their design via The University of Salford and were chosen from a number of graduates for this exciting opportunity.
