Product Focus: Acoustic Baffles
Amspec have been busy over the last few of weeks installing acoustic baffles at Bruntwoods’ Alderley Park in Cheshire. Acoustic baffles are a cost-effective way of controlling sound while only partially covering the ceiling. Typically, they are suspended from an existing ceiling, soffit, fixtures or any suitable attachment using attractive wires. The main difference between using a wall panel and an acoustic baffle is that because baffles are suspended from the ceiling, all the sides are exposed, increasing the ability to absorb sound.
Baffles are not only acoustically effective, they also provide excellent scope for a variety of design solutions. They are highly versatile; each ceiling installation is unique and customers can design their own panels to transform the aesthetic of an environment. They can be used in a range of projects; from schools, to open plan offices, high roofed buildings or large public spaces - they are very quick and easy to install.
Benefits of using acoustic baffles:
- Achieve high sound absorption
- Offer reduction in noise reflections
- Reduce reverberated noise without disturbing air condition or lighting
- Cost-effective
- Unique designs
- Highly customisable
Amspec can manufacture acoustic baffles in our inhouse joinery workshop. We can help you determine the number of baffles required to successfully control sound and then pass over to our design team to work with you on bringing your design to life.
If you have a project that you think may benefit from installing acoustic baffles, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. Email us at enquiries@amspec.co.uk.
