Project: Alderley Park Garden Area

Alderley Park Garden Area

Alderley Park is the UK’s largest bioscience campus and offers laboratory and state-of-the-art office space to rent in Cheshire. The 400-acre estate is host to approximately 4,000 staff, 1,000 visitors, part of Manchester Science Partnerships, one of the leading science and technology park operators in Europe.

Amspec were chosen on behalf of Bruntwood to design and install an indoor ‘garden area’ in Block 30.

The purpose of the area is to provide informal breakout areas where people can meet outside of an office setting. The garden area was designed to elevate the look and feel of the main atrium.

We were asked to design various bespoke joinery items that would be manufactured inhouse including bespoke planters/a balcony bench and a recycle station.

The bespoke planters were filled with artificial trailing plants including Scindapsus, Ivy and Ferns (from I Want Plants) for both privacy and aesthetic appeal.

Furniture was provided from Sixteen3, Frovi and Orangebox with flooring from Interface and Shaw Contract.

We were also asked by Bruntwood to design install various breakout areas in Block 30. Click the link to find out more!
